<P>If you're looking for events in Venice, our one-day Veneto tours will immerse you in Venetian
culture and help you create your own alternative vacation.</P>
<P>Veneto is best known for its regional capital Venice. Sites include the Gothic Doges
Palace on the Piazza San Marco and its opera house, to the Murano glass and Venetian Burano
lace produced north of the harbor.</P>
<h2>Cooking Classes in Venice</h2>
<P>Venetian food includes Risi e Bisi; Pasta e Fagioli,
and other dishes that reflect Veneto's proximity to the Adriatic. Travelling from Verona
and over the Venetian plain, one comes to Soave, with its castle walls
built by the Scaligeris (14th-15th century); Marostica, still surrounded by fourteenth century
walls, where chess is played in the Piazza del Castello; Bassano del Grappa. Nearby lies Asolo;
Castelfranco Veneto, birthplace of Giorgione; lastly, Cittadella. Actividayz offers cooking classes
in Venice. Farther north lies Feltre with famous Renaissance buildings and Vittorio Veneto (an altarpiece by Titian inside the Duomo).
Near the boundary with Friuli lies Portogruaro. Montagnana with its old town centre enclosed by
walls (13th-14th century) and Gothic-Renaissance Duomo; Este, and Monselice. Reaching the Adriatic,
one comes to Chioggia, a picturesque village on a lagoon, full of canals and narrow 'calli'.</P>

<P>In the Provinces of Treviso, Padua, Vicenza and Venice, stand numerous remarkable artistic
rural constructions, the Ville Venete. Many travelers seek out Veneto Tours. There are approximately five thousand Ville Venete.
The most famous of these villa architects is Andrea Palladio, architect also of the splendid
Rotonda, near Vicenza, the most famous of his creations. Navigation of the canal or `Riviera'

and delightful way to enter the world of the Ville Venete.</P>

<P>Cortina d'Ampezzo, in the heart of the Dolomites; Arabba, between the Sella group and the Marmolada;
Auronzo, in the upper Cadore; Alleghe, at the foot of Mount Civetta; Sappada, in the extreme north
of the region; the Asiago plateau. We recommend walking tours of Venice. Famous and busy seaside
resorts include Bibione, Caorle, Lido di Iesolo, Lido di Venezia, Sottomarina and Albarella.</P>
<h2>Travel Guide Veneto</h2>
<P>Tourists flock to Lake Garda with the lakeside resorts of Lazise, Cisano, Bardolino, Garda, Torri
del Benaco and Malcesine. The Spa resorts include Recoaro, famous for its mineral waters, with
facilities for winter tourism (Recoaro 1000); Abano, Montegrotto, Galzignano and Battaglia, all
on the slopes of the Euganean hills are famous for their thermal springs. We hope to add a travel
