  • Meet your official guide at the specified meeting location on your voucher to begin a morning walk of Florence. Piazza Repubblica, this tour's starting point, is at the very center of Florence and was originally a Roman era forum that later evolved into a medieval marketplace before becoming one of today's poshest addresses.
  • Start the morning exploring the Roman foundation of the city and its medieval quarter while learning the historic significance of each highlight. Arrive at Piazza della Signoria, the political center of the Florentine Republic for an examination of the key works of the Loggia dei Lanzi, an open air sculpture museum.
  • Continue to the Uffizi Palace courtyard to delve into this landmark’s past while reliving the Medici family's rise to the enlightenment that lead to the Renaissance. Walk along the Arno passing by Ponte Vecchio on the way to a viewing of Medici portraits by Ghirlandaio in the Sassetti chapel of the Santa Trinita church.
  • Follow Via Tornabuoni to Palazzo Strozzi, while admiring and learning key features of a classic Renaissance palazzo. Enter the inner courtyard for a quick coffee at the caffè bar in the courtyard.
