  • Meet your guide, Stefania at her family's vineyard near Nocciano nestled between the Maiella and the Gran Sasso mountains. Stefania is a professional level III sommelier and will lead you on a historical and operational walking tour of her family's forty-acre estate, which yields quality wines, extra virgin olive oil, grappa and Spumante grapes.
  • See the huge tanks where the grapes are gathered, crushed and begin fermenting. Visit the three levels of the wine cellars where corridors lead to tanks holding wines waiting to be bottled. Aging rooms separate the wines by vintage and store them in oak barrels. Step into the tasting room where Stefania will conduct a professional tasting of four wines: Trebbiano, a dry white, Cerasuolo, a delicate rose and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo (both young and aged), a velvety red. Local salami and pecorino cheese complement the tasting and a sampling of the estate's extra virgin olive oil will follow.
  • Before departing, you can visit the estate's store where all the wines and products tasted may be purchased. On-site purchases are exempt from local taxation making these wines a great value!
